1st Grade

1st graders learned about Kandinsky and his love for music. Students were asked to describe what music elements they see in Kandinsky’s artwork and made their own modeled after his color study using concentric circles. This lesson involves a crayon-watercolor resist and gets students to recognize complementary colors.
